IN 2021 I JOINED UP WITH PERSISTENCE BREWING COMPANY BASED IN DUBLIN, IRELAND TO DESIGN A LOGO, LABEL, PACKAGING, AND PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS FOR THEIR NEWEST BEER.
Upon release, Zingibeer quickly garnered local attention and has now won several awards acknowledging it as one of Ireland's best new beers. It can be found throughout pubs in Dublin and surrounding areas.
The client wanted a 'mascot' of sorts for their Zingibeer brand and since some of the worlds finest ginger comes from Malaysia, they chose the Rhino Hornbill, Malaysia's national bird, to be the inspiration.
I wanted the logo to be colorful and quirky but also to be able to appeal to a general audience. After a few drafts, I came up with this design which the client and I were both thrilled with.
